Prior to Commencement of Classes
All monies paid by the student, including the application fee, will be refunded in full if the student withdraws prior to the first day of classes. Additionally, if a student who was admitted late withdraws after the first day of classes, all monies paid will be refunded in full provided the student cancels within three business days (up to midnight of the third day excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays) after the student received final written notice of acceptance or signs the enrollment agreement which ever occurred last. All refunds will be made within ten business days of any notice of cancellation.
After Commencement of Classes
If a student withdraws prior to the eighth week of class, tuition charged is adjusted based upon the last date of attendance. A notification of withdrawal may be in any form the student wishes to use whether in writing or oral. It may be delivered in any manner to the school’s Racine office. Students who receive financial aid loans must have a financial aid exit interview. Constructive withdrawal is failing to attend classes for ten consecutive scheduled class days based on the student’s scheduled days of classes, without providing an explanation to the school administration regarding absences prior to the tenth scheduled class day. The date of constructive withdrawal is the tenth scheduled class day of consecutive absence without explanation.
The last day of attendance is determined for students who withdraw or are dismissed prior to attending all their scheduled classes for the term. The applicable week shown in column A which contains the last day of attendance shall determine the reduction in tuition based on the percentage which is shown in column B. Refunds for students who have paid more than their charges {after any required adjustments} will be made within 14 calendar days of the date of notification of withdrawal, date of constructive withdrawal, or date of dismissal.
In conjunction with determining a reduction for the current term, all prepayment balances which the student asked the school to hold for future terms will also be disbursed to the appropriate party. Vision Statement
The Office of Continuing Education facilitates the development, presentation, and evaluation of seminars that award CEU credits and professional development points to meet the changing social, professional and regulatory CEU needs of acupuncturists and the community served.
A Brighter Future
Endless Opportunities
The Information Age has catapulted acupuncture into the spotlight, under the microscope, and on the radar of an estimated 8.2 million Americans. As oriental medicine integrates with mainstream choices, more and more Western doctors have opened their minds and practices to all possibilities, partnering with acupuncturists and referring appropriate cases to acupuncture medicine clinics for treatment. MCAHM graduates are working in hospital systems such as Aurora Healthcare, Northwestern Healthcare, Ascension and medical clinics nationwide
Library Services
MCAHM’s library services are available to students and alumni. The College created a website at www.mcomlibraryrescources.com to assist students and graduates during and after their time at the College. The website includes links to free research sites, mind maps, and an online library catalogue. Books can be held for pick up at their convenience. A credentialed librarian and research consultant are available for assistance.
Career Counseling
MCAH provides knowledgeable staff for career counseling and works with students and graduates to help fulfill their aspirations. Whether a student is planning for a job or independent practice, the College teaches courses for practice management and career development.
