Library and Information Resources
The mission of the Midwest College's library is to identify and provide information and library resources needed by members of our college community in their study, research, public service, and professional development; to instruct and assist in the use of library resources; to share in the development and implementation of our College's educational programs; and to support the mission of the Midwest College.
The Midwest College library is committed to the following objectives:
- To determine library requirements by maintaining regular contact with faculty, and students
- To develop and coordinate a collection program that addresses current needs and future projections
- To acquire, organize, catalog, and maintain the necessary information, both print and non-print, in those areas pertinent to the programs of the College
- To provide effective and timely access to information not available in the library
- To develop and maintain an effective service orientated staff
- To assist students, faculty, and other library users in the retrieval of information
- To teach library competence in support of academic work and life-long learning
 - To promote constructive working relationships with other libraries
- To engage in systematic planning and review of library policies and services
- To maintain an awareness of developments in library science and information technology,
and to utilize new techniques and systems where feasible
