Graduation Requirements

The following requirements must be met prior to graduation:

1. Satisfactory completion of each required class with at least 80% attendance (including makeup)
2. A grade point average of 2.0 or better
3. All papers must be completed and approved
4. All clinical obligations must be fulfilled
5. All tuition and fees for the program must be paid in full
6. All library books must be returned
7. Successful completion of the clinic practical final examination
8. Successful completion of the comprehensive written examination
9. Attendance at an exit interview
10. Submission and acceptance of a completed Petition to Graduate
11. Loan recipients must attend and document a financial aid exit interview
12. 60 semester (90 quarter) credit hours of post-secondary education from other accredited schools

Petition to Graduate

Candidates must file a Petition to Graduate at the beginning of the term in which they expect to graduate. To file, the candidate must be in good academic standing and meet all the graduation requirements listed in the catalog at the time they enrolled. Administrative staff and financial aid staff must certify that all requirements have been met. The Masters level Acupuncture certificate, a Master of Science Degree in Oriental Medicine or a combined Bachelor of Science in Nutrition / Master of Science in Oriental Medicine Degree is mailed directly to the student. A student's graduation date is not automatically the last day of the final quarter, but is the date the Petition to Graduate is completed and receives the final authorizing signature.
