Financial Aid

SimpleTuition is designed to help you find your way to your ideal college loan www.consolidationcomparison.com/

Students must be accepted into the Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine program before beginning the financial aid process. Except in the unlikely circumstance that a potential borrower has reached the maximum loan limit for an academic level, or reached the maximum aggregate loan limit, all students are eligible to apply for Federal Family Education loans. Unsubsidized interest loans can be used to cover each individual student's "expected family contribution".

Both subsidized and unsubsidized loans are subject to annual limits and may be used to pay for costs of education in excess of "expected family contribution". Extremely needy Acupuncture students who have not yet received a four year post-secondary degree may be eligible for a Federal Pell grant, the amount of which is based on a U.S. Department of Education formula. Procedures and forms are available from the Financial Aid Processor at the Racine campus on Monday through Thursday between 10 am and 5 pm. In the absence of the Financial Aid Processor, the Administrative Coordinator should be contacted. Contact with the financial aid processor must be arranged so that various aspects and responsibilities of student loans are discussed before submitting the initial financial aid application. Student borrowers must also attend both an entrance and exit interview.

The process of obtaining financial aid can be time consuming; students must allow sufficient time for processing based upon individual discussions with the financial aid processor. Students waiting for financial aid approval must follow the tuition schedule policy per page 29.

If the amount received for Pell grants and loan checks exceed the amount due to the school after tuition and fees charged for the current quarter are assessed, the student may elect (on their current contract) to permit the school to hold the student's money to pay for future tuition and fee charges. This election will expire at the end of the quarter subsequent to the contract if it is not renewed during the subsequent quarter. If such an election is not made, if the student revokes the election, or at the end of a loan period, a check for the credit balance will be issued within 14 days after the date tuition and fees are assessed, the date of revocation, or the last day of the loan period.
