About Independent Study
Independent study develops and demonstrates a student's skills in selecting from the available material those facts and ideas that are pertinent to the topic and in organizing and documenting the information clearly, logically and effectively. Each requires a minimum of three months to complete. They further demonstrate the ability to discover and make use of all the library resources in gathering materials on given assignments, as well as ingenuity in finding other sources yielding additional information. Students must register in the quarter shown on the curriculum outline on page 42-43 in the catalog.
