Location, energetics, indications, and regional anatomy of Lung, Large Intestine, Stomach, Spleen, Small Intestine, Heart, and Conception Vessel meridians are discussed. This class begins instruction in precise point location by using charts, models and finally using fellow students as subjects to locate and mark the most important Acupuncture points. Point Location 1 begins the sequence of skills development classes that culminate in Needle Technique 3. Students at the Midwest College spend five quarters developing the sensitivity needed to achieve the Qi sensation required for effective treatment. There is a workbook for this class to guide students through the development of somatic memory.
